"All" Animals are Worth Rescue, Rehab, and Re-Home with Loving Families…….
“Hank”.…. Hank came into our lives July 2018. He was loaded on the slaughter truck heading for Mexico when another rescue intervened and asked us to take him. He was originally a breeding stallion that did not have a positive human interaction in his life. To this day he trusts minimal. He relearns every day that we mean good to him. Hank is the black and white paint.

“Eeyore”….. is a 10-15yr old male donkey. Was rescued by El paso county animal control and later sent to auction. We got him from another resuce who took him in temporarily. he was running astray and a local shot at him. He was not trusting of humans for a long time. Slowly coming around to accept all the loves offered.
“Piper”…. Our mini unicorn horse and came to us late summer. She foundered with severe laminitis. Most recent diagnosis is Cushing’s. Previous rescue was feeding her minimal hay and mostly grain. She has also suffered from not having their hooves properly cared for. We currently have her hooves done every 2 weeks to try and gain control to help her out.

“Vegas”….. is our buckskin gelding who is about 10yrs old. He moved in Nov 2019. He was originally an Amish work horse who suffered a severe cart accident leaving him with a fractured and damaged c1-c3 vertebrae. His pain is managed with medicine and laser therapy. Very sweet horse and cares for our colt on the farm.
“Maple”.…. and Turbo moved here in early May 2020. They were in route to a kill barn when we intervened. The mom was supposed to be a bucking horse but had no desire. she foaled in March with Turbo. He had an injury to his mouth leaving his tongue hanging out about 4″ and black and dying. He also had some facial paralysis. Our amazing vet Dr Nigel Miller took a chance on him with some alternative treatment using high doses of vitamins to reverse the damage and it worked. He is one amazing colt. Mom is in works to be started this year and hopefully adopted out summer 2021.
“Turbo” He was born here at the Ranch from Maple. He is a real character, full of playful gestures and actions. We love putting all the work and care into raising a young one. He will be a great horse for some lucky home.

“Snowman”….. is a current stallion mini who came to us most recently. Only 2 months ago a friend reached out to us concerned about his living conditions and his overall health. We asked his previous family if we could take him in and they agreed. Dr Miller was on site that day to analyze and game plan his future health. He graded him a body score of 1.5 out of 10 the day we got him. He is now about a 5-6!!! Healthy and spicy. He has been given the green light for being gelded by CSU this week, Nov 16th. The future plans are to train him and adopt him out next summer 2021.
